Low mood and depression

Low mood can show up as losing interest in things you used to enjoy, feeling flat or numb, or finding it hard to get through the day. Counselling offers a space to talk this through without judgement, at your own pace.

What this can look like

Low mood can be a persistent flatness or numbness, a loss of interest in things you'd usually enjoy, low energy and motivation, or finding everyday tasks harder to face than they used to be. It can also involve withdrawing from people you care about, being harder on yourself than usual, or feeling stuck without being able to say exactly why.

If you're having difficult or frightening thoughts, including thoughts of harming yourself, please see the Crisis Support page for immediate options — this page and the counselling I offer are not a crisis service.

How counselling can help

Counselling offers a confidential space to talk about how you're feeling without judgement, at your own pace. Together we'll look at what's contributing to your low mood and work towards small, manageable steps forward — there's no expectation to have things figured out before you start.
